The university draws its inspiration from Swami Vivekananda, the great philosopher, spiritual leader, and reformer, who believed that education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man. His vision of education as a means to awaken inner strength, build character, and serve humanity forms the foundation of all our academic and institutional endeavours.

This slogan embodies Swami Vivekananda’s timeless message – to awaken inner strength, educate for life and character, and transform oneself and society for the greater good.

Establishment and Recognition

Established in 2025, Swami Vivekanand University is committed to excellence in research and innovative practices in higher education. It is a State Private University established by the State Legislature of Government of Assam (Assam Act No. XIX of 2025).

Our campus, located at Information and Technology Park, Chandamari, Kokrajhar, Assam, invites students from all strata of society from across the globe to pursue knowledge and self-realisation in an environment imbued with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
