Orel State University is unique in many ways. It is the only classical university Orel, a member of the Association of classical Russian universities. Accommodation & Hostels of OSU

The University is proud of its modern dormitory housing 1100 people. Every section has two cozy rooms, a kitchen, a shower and a bathroom. The hostel for international students is located in the center of the city 30mtr from the University’s main building. Hostel has well equipped rooms with all modern facilities for 3 seated big rooms upgraded comforts, central heating. Reception, laundry, cleaning & washing personals, reading room, computer hall. Cost of living in Russia can be completely affordable and can also make it a comfortable place to live in.

Student life

The educational work in the dormitories is carried out through the heads of the dormitories and the Student Council - a body of student self-government - in accordance with a comprehensive plan, which includes creating the necessary conditions for living, self-study, living and recreation of students, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and carrying out cultural and sports and recreational events, recreation evenings, literary readings and debates, psychological trainings, meetings with interesting people, etc.

Traditional events are: the competition "The best room in a hostel", "Initiation into neighbors", various sporting events. In order to help students and student families there is a psychologist’s office. Every year, hostels hold cycles of lectures and conversations on the problems of drug addiction and tobacco smoking, AIDS prevention, and the sexual education of young people.
